Brick•Abilities is a fun way to support the disabilities foundation. For only $10 you can purchase a brick to paint or be painted. The bricks will eventually be displayed throughout Lake City .

The Celebrity BBQ Benefit began in March 1996 and is the major fundraiser conducted annually by Florence County Disabilities Foundation.  The event is held at 3 locations including Roger's BBQ in Florence, Schoolhouse BBQ in Scranton and First Baptist Church in Johnsonville for lunch catered by Schoolhouse BBQ.

The Stars Are Out - Talent Show

We are proud to co-sponsor this event with Carolinas Hospital System again this year and are very excited about the talented performers and artists who are participating. By focusing on their abilities, it provides us the opportunity to support and highlight the abilities and talents of individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities and share them with others. Everyone is invited to come out and show their support for these performers.

Amazing Art by Special Artists

“Amazing Art by Special Artists” is an annual art competition that allows individuals 18 or older to show off their artistic abilities. The Foundation awards a total of $2000 in prize money at the end of the event. Selected artwork is exhibited in the Pee Dee Thrift of Lake City. Art competition winners are determined by popular choice and juried panel votes by professional artists.
